Marie Antoinette and the French Revolution are synonymous. I often wonder what would have happened to both she and Louis XVI if they had been allowed to leave France. Though I understand the rational behind their execution I would like to believe that if allowed to escape with their family they would have lived out the rest of their days in a quiet corner of Germany.
